Primary
In the primary years, we aim to foster children’s individuality while also focusing on academic rigour. This is achieved by facilitating learning in a warm and caring environment that is supportive of both the academic and personal development of its students.
The key tools that facilitate learning in the Primary years are as follows:
- Technology: Students have access to a range of technology tools and resources like computers, tablets and interactive whiteboards in the classroom and the Computer Lab that support learning and engage students.
- Flexible learning spaces: We provide a variety of learning spaces that can be used for different types of activities and accommodate different learning styles. This includes the traditional classroom, areas for group work like the library or multipurpose hall and hands-on learning in our maths, design thinking and music labs.
- Supportive staff: Our staff comprises dedicated and caring teachers who are committed to helping students succeed. The support staff, counsellors, and other specialists provide students with the individualised support and guidance they need.
- Strong curriculum: The curriculum is challenging and engaging, and covers a range of conventional subjects, including language arts, maths, science, social studies, Environmental science and the arts and value-added ones such as sustainable living, financial literacy and ethics and etiquette.
- Extracurricular activities: We have imbibed extracurricular activities and programs that allow students to explore their interests and passions, and build important skills and knowledge outside of the classroom into the daily curriculum. This includes sports teams, music and art programs, and other opportunities for students to get involved and engage with their school community.
